Building Ecological Intelligence for a Greener Europe Inclusive Future Stronger Communities

Erasmus+ 2027 opens new doors for young people to learn, travel, and collaborate across Europe. Join us in shaping a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future one project, one connection at a time.

Developing Ecological Intelligence in Young People Across Europe

EI-YOUTH is a transnational initiative under European Youth Together that strengthens ecological intelligence and sustainable citizenship among young people through collaborative mapping, digital tools, and community-driven action. As a partner in a 7-country consortium, United Vision ry contributes to youth worker training and local mapping activities in Finland, empowering young people with fewer opportunities to understand, map, and address eco-social challenges in their communities.

Connecting Youth for a Sustainable Future

EI-YOUTH brings together youth workers, young people, and communities to strengthen ecological awareness and promote sustainable European citizenship. Through workshops, collaborative mapping, digital storytelling, and local action plans, the project helps young people identify eco-social challenges and co-design solutions.

Building Ecological Intelligence

Young people learn to understand natural human systems, recognize environmental challenges, and make informed, responsible decisions.

Collaborative Mapping for Real World Change

Participants use mapping, GPS tools, geo-narratives, and locative media to document eco-social problems in their communities.

Empowering Youth with Fewer Opportunities

EI-YOUTH ensures the inclusion of marginalized youth, enabling them to take active roles in sustainable citizenship.

Connecting 7 European Countries

Youth workers and young people collaborate across Spain, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Türkiye, Finland, and Greece through joint training and virtual exchanges.

Transforming Ideas into Action

Ecological Intelligence

Young people learn how natural and human systems interact, developing the awareness needed to understand eco-social challenges and make responsible environmental decisions.

Collaborative Mapping

Youth workers and participants co-create interactive maps using field data, GPS, geo-stories, and locative media to identify real problems in their communities.

Learning in the Field

Hands-on exploration, community observation, interviews, and environmental data collection allow young people to learn directly from real environments instead of classrooms.

Active Citizenship

Participants transform their mapping results into action plans, advocate for local sustainability solutions, and engage decision-makers and community stakeholders.

European Connections

EI-YOUTH links young people and youth workers from seven countries, building a shared European identity, solidarity, and collaboration across borders.

Digital & Media Skills

Youth gain experience in digital mapping tools, online platforms, locative media, storytelling, and multimedia content creation for stronger civic participation.

Youth Leadership

Through training and mentoring, participants strengthen their confidence, teamwork, and leadership abilities to become change-makers in their communities.

Inclusion & Equity

EI-YOUTH prioritizes young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring equal participation, representation, and empowerment in all project activities.

Driving Change Through Youth Collaboration

EI-YOUTH strengthens the capacity of youth organizations and youth workers through training, research, transnational meetings, and hands-on implementation. The project develops the EI-YOUTH Methodology, trains 42 youth workers, and empowers 70 young people to co-create collaborative mapping projects addressing real challenges in their communities.

Youth Worker Training Across Europe

42 youth workers receive comprehensive training through e-learning modules, live sessions, and two transnational training meetings in Greece and Türkiye.

Eco-Social Global Mapping Hub

A digital platform enabling young people to co-create interactive maps enriched with geo-stories, multimedia, and local data while promoting digital sovereignty and open-source tools.

Youth-Led Local Action Plans

Each country develops community-based action plans, presenting them to local stakeholders to promote sustainable, youth-driven solutions.
