Train the Trainer – Treehouse Building Course – Germany

Project Brief:

The Train the Trainer – Treehouse Building Course is an Erasmus+ training programme designed for youth workers, educators, and facilitators who want to strengthen their outdoor education and experiential learning skills. Through a unique combination of practical construction work and non-formal education, participants will learn how to use nature-based activities as effective tools for youth development and learning.

Project Summary:

Held from 15–21 June 2026 at YMCA Camp Michelstadt (Odenwald), Germany, this international training course brings together youth workers and educators to explore outdoor learning through the hands-on experience of building a real treehouse. Participants will develop facilitation skills, learn experiential education methods, and discover how nature-based learning environments can foster teamwork, creativity, leadership, and personal growth.

Through practical workshops, group reflection, and intercultural exchange, participants will gain valuable tools and methods to enhance their youth work practice and create engaging outdoor learning experiences for young people.
