Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate is an Erasmus+ project that strengthens young people’s participation in democracy by engaging them in meaningful climate action. The project brings together youth from Finland, Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal to learn, collaborate and create local impact through community events, campaigns and advocacy activities.

Project Description
Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate connects young leaders who want to make a difference in their communities and the world. The project provides training, workshops and exchange activities where participants explore climate change from both local and global perspectives. Young people learn how to use democratic tools, creative activism and community engagement to inspire change.
Throughout the project, participants design and implement local climate actions — such as awareness campaigns, environmental clean-ups, community discussions, public art initiatives or educational workshops. These activities promote environmental responsibility, highlight young voices and strengthen youth involvement in civic processes.
By collaborating across Finland, Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal, young people build international friendships, improve teamwork and communication skills, and gain confidence to lead change.
